About the Founder

I’m the founder of Muze Di Fura — a woman, a mother of two, a Colombian living in London for over 12 years, and a believer in the kind of beauty that carries soul.

The name Muze Di Fura often sparks curiosity — and it’s meant to. It’s a name born from layers of inspiration drawn from my roots, my travels, and my deepest values.

“Muze” is a play between Muzo — the region of Boyacá in Colombia where the world’s most treasured emeralds are found — and muse, the eternal source of artistic and emotional inspiration. Throughout history, women have been muses: carriers of life, of love, of resilience. Their stories shape culture, memory, and meaning.

“Di” is a nod to my family — to my children’s Italian heritage and my husband’s roots. It's a little piece of the passion, timeless beauty, and art that have moved me deeply during our time spent in Italy.

And “Fura” comes from the legend of Fura and Tena, central figures in Muisca mythology, one of Colombia’s most ancient civilizations.
Fura was a goddess created by the god Are, along with Tena, to be guardians of life on Earth. Fura embodied truth, love, and beauty. But when she broke her vows, moved by compassion for a mortal man, the balance of the world was shaken. Her sorrow was so deep that the gods transformed her and Tena into two sacred mountains. From her tears, emeralds were born — gifts of grief and love turned into something eternally beautiful. The Muzo mines, rich in emeralds, sit at the heart of this story.
Fura represents what I believe many women carry: emotion, depth, and the ability to turn even pain into creation.

The Heart of the Brand

I’ve always been drawn to the ancestral knowledge of Indigenous communities — their deep respect for the Earth, their rituals, their belief that nature holds answers and energy. In many of these cultures, women are the guardians of tradition. Their hands carry stories. Their craft is how memory is preserved. Their art becomes legacy.

Muze Di Fura is built on this reverence for craftsmanship, memory, and heritage — expressed through jewelry and accessories that are unique, soulful, and full of intention. Every piece is made in partnership with skilled artisans, using techniques passed down through generations. These are not trends — they are treasures.

Now living in London, I’ve had the chance to grow into myself — as a mother, a woman, and a creator. This city has shaped me. The women I’ve met, the stories I’ve heard, the experiences I’ve had — all led me to create something that reflects it all.

What we create

Our pieces — from jewelry made with raw Colombian emeralds and 24k gold-plated recycled brass, to handwoven bags and charms inspired by Indigenous traditions — are made to make you feel something.

They are meant to radiate good energy, to be worn with meaning, to transcend trends, and to become something you reach for not just because of how it looks, but because of how it makes you feel.

Muze Di Fura is here to celebrate the power of heritage, the beauty of imperfection, and the strength and softness that women carry.

Our Work with Artisans

At Muze Di Fura, every piece we offer carries a story — shaped by hands, heritage, and heart.

Some of our pieces are carefully sourced from artisans, whose work is a reflection of their experience, memories, and inspiration from the world around them. Others are the result of co-creation with small artisan workshops that still craft everything entirely by hand, using simple tools and time-honored techniques.

No matter how a piece comes to life, one thing remains constant: everything we create is handmade. Each item is unique — not only in design, but in soul. This is what slow fashion means to us: intentional pieces made with care, not urgency. Pieces that help you feel like the most authentic version of yourself.

It is deeply important to us that artisans are compensated fairly for their time, expertise, and creativity. For many communities, this work is more than tradition — it’s a lifeline. From the Wayuu women in La Guajira, to the Inga and Kamëntsá artisans who come together to craft our Amazonian charms, we honor the value of their craft and the cultural legacy it carries.

We truly love what we create, and we hope you will too — not just for how it looks, but for how it makes you feel. Because we believe that life is made of small, happy moments — and our pieces are here to spark smiles, meaning, and connection, whether you're wearing them yourself or gifting them to someone special.
