Meaning of Our Name
The name Muze Di Fura holds our story.Muze: Inspired by Muzo, birthplace of some of the world’s most extraordinary emeralds, and by the idea of a muse — a source of creativity and inspiration.Di: A nod to the founder’s Italian family,where art, beauty, simplicity, and a love of life are part of everyday culture.Fura: The legendary woman of the Muzopeople, guardian of emeralds. Legend says Fura wept emeralds into the world, a symbol of nature’s generosity and ofwomen’s strength and resilience.
About the founder
Muze di Fura was founded by a Colombian mother of two, born in Santa Marta, the land of bananas, the Caribbean, and the magical world of Macondo with its yellow butterflies. She spent most of her adult life in the Andean region, surrounded byemerald-bearing mountains that inspire her work. Today, she is based in London, where she continues her journey as a designer and mother, weaving together heritage, artistry, and modern life.
